When God called Pati Adams to be an advocate for life, she did not go willing, as a matter of fact, she dug her heals in and said "I am just a housewife, mother and grandmother. I have not a clue how to talk to women about their pregnancy or abortions. I have no idea what a crisis pregnancy center is, let alone run one. God can you please use someone else?" So 13 years ago Pati started her journey as a Client Service Director, then Center Director and in the past year she has stepped down from being an Executive Director.
She also has served on the Leadership team for the New England Coalition of Pregnancy Centers. During her journey through the pregnancy center world, Pati found her healing and restoration from her past three abortions. Having a passion for the wounded women that have walked down the same road she did with her abortions, she has gone through the Abortion Recovery Assistance Institute, in Greenville, South Carolina, to be trained on abortion recovery. She started and facilitated an Abortion Recovery Program at two pregnancy centers. She continues to facilitate at her local pregnancy center. Pati is also working with a ministry called My Voice for Life.
Pati has been on television and radio and articles have been written about her in newspapers. She has had her story told on "Unshackled" an award winning drama series with Pacific Garden Missions in Chicago, a radio program that has been around since 1945 and is heard in 148 countries, 6 continents and in 8 different languages. She has spoken at woman's church groups, crisis pregnancy center banquets and conferences. She has had the privilege of speaking to Senators and Congressman about the serious issues of abortion and the aftermath on the women and men left behind. She has written her life story as a movie and is in the process of seeking a motion picture company.
Pati has a huge passion to get the word out that "Abortion Hurts Women and Men and destroys families and generations of families" She is a passionate speaker, loves her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ and knows from the counseling rooms, from the Executive Directors office, from the board rooms, what it takes to help the hurting and wounded, to bring them back to the people God created them to be.
